Across the University, numerous departments and resources assist with continual instructional and pedagogical development.
We encourage instructors to engage in an early term feedback process to provide agency for students and to provide students with clarifications on course expectations and/or other adjustments, if needed.
At the end of each semester, instructors, teaching assistants (TA), and section leaders (SL) are evaluated. Students evaluate their instructors and SLs via the University's Student Rating of Teaching (SRT). Instructors evaluate their SLs and TAs via Departmental TA/SL evaluation.

The syllabus is the centerpiece of your course material. Update and review your expectations, the class schedule, policies, grading scheme, course resources, and expectations.
Some courses require a permission number, which the student must enter when adding the course to their enrollment. The course may be set up to require a permission number from all students who register for it, or only from students who do not meet course prerequisites. The permission number indicates to the system that the student has the instructor's approval to register.
